With 9 Boutique Pie Bakery Stores across South East Queensland we are known for our excellence in customer service and high-quality product offerings.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager with high energy and a demonstrated focus on customer satisfaction, to assist the Store Manager at our Buderim store.

The successful candidate will:

  • already have experience within the food service/retail industry.
  • display warmth and enthusiasm, with a friendly positive outlook and a can-do attitude.
  • be able to lead by example & bring out the best in their team.
  • be flexible, adaptable, reliable and very much hands-on.

This position is based on a rotating roster working a range of shifts between the hours of 5am and 6.00pm over seven days (working every second weekend). Due to the early morning start times your own transport is essential.

Duties will include:

  • Ensuring excellence in customer service as the #1 priority
  • Ensuring the highest standards of food safety and store cleanliness
  • Opening and closing the store
  • Training, supervising, mentoring and coaching team members
  • Coffee making
  • Management of stock including rotation, quality assurance and minimising wastage
  • Implementing operational policies and back office administration
  • Maintaining knowledge & understanding of Workplace Health & Safety & Food Safety
  • Promoting a positive work environment that encourages team members to grow, be challenged and have fun!

Essential Skills / Attributes:

  • Available to work weekends and during school hours
  • Preferably a minimum of 2 years previous food service experience
  • Customer service focused with the ability to engage new customers and foster returning customer relationships
  • Highly organised with great time management and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, flexible, reliable and honest
  • Ability to build strong relationships within the store team & greater network as well as with customers, suppliers and contractors
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team and lead by example
  • Willingness & ability to strive for & achieve store Key Performance Indicators
