Internship in the field of “6G Broadband Radio Channel Measurement System”

- Throughout the project DEDICATE, our research group specialized on Wireless Communication is investigating revolutionary new technologies for energy efficient, highly reliable and low latency 6G communication systems.
- As part of our research team, you will work on a broadband radio channel measurement system for frequencies from 1 GHz to 6 GHz as well as for the mmWave band.
- You will get a detailed insight into state-of-the-art software defined radio (SDR) hardware and software design tools.

- You will get familiar with real-time programming of field programmable gate arrays using NI LabVIEW.
- Under the guidance of our team, you will use and extend the function of the AIT broadband radio channel measurement system.
- You will add a calibration function and an automatic gain control for the multi-channel measurement system.
- You will gain practical experience in the area of real-time SDR experimentation for advanced 6G systems and will train scientific working.
- You will obtain a working broadband radio channel measurement system for mobile use cases and will have not only the opportunity to discuss your work experiences and results with experienced scientific peers, but also to connect with other bachelor’s, master’s or PhD students.

- You have good knowledges in FPGA programming and signal processing; Know-how in NI LabVIEW is a plus

- You have good knowledge of English and/or German in word and writing
What to expect:
- Start-date: the ideal start-date would be in August 2023 (there is some flexibility regarding the start-date)
- Duration of the internship: between 4 and 6 months
- A remuneration of at least EUR 1.256,- gross per month for 38.5 hours per week.
