We are looking for an experienced General Foreman to join our team in a growing Engineering company based in Bonnyrigg, Midlothian. The role will involve a variety of day to day tasks and require the candidate to have a vast range of welding and fabrication experience.
Job Role Experience Requirements:
- Capable of leading a committed team with a diverse range of backgrounds and experience
- Forward plan to complete routine tasks and ensure current and future work scopes are met in a timely manner
- Always calm under pressure
- Self motivated, delivering results with energy complimented with a sense of humour
- Strong leader who can communicate effectively with both employees and management
- Management of up to 10 employees and ensure the health, safety and welfare of employees are met
- Production meetings with management/ project engineers
- Promotion of continuous improvement within the workplace
- Manage a variety of fabrication jobs from start to finish, working to a high standard both individually and as a leader
- Ability to resolve technical issues
- Ability to plan and prioritise workloads to ensure work scopes are delivered on time and on budget
- Ensuring consumables are stocked
- Estimating experience (preferential)
- Purchasing experience (preferential)
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- MIG Welding Experience
- TIG Welding Experience (Preffered)
- Fabrication of Mild & Stainless-Steel Plating and piping
- Site work experience
