Accounting Specialist (Entry Level)

Our expertise includes Drafting, Rendering, Estimating, Construction Administration, Loan Processing, and Accounting services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Allocate tag numbers to fixed assets to effectively track them from time to time.
  • Record in the accounting system newly acquired fixed assets and those disposed of.
  • Perform reconciliation of fixed asset subsidiary ledger balance with the summary-level account in the general ledger
  • Maintaining accurate and complete records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and information related to supplies and inventory.
  • Speaking with vendors and suppliers to ensure charges are accurate and that payments are received in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures.
  • Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts.
  • Assisting the accounting department in daily, monthly, and annual activities, including generating financial reports, developing budgets, preparing taxes, and assisting with audits and resolving discrepancies.
  • Keep accurate records of incoming and outgoing payments to the organization.
  • Employee loan monitoring.
  • Charging expenses to accounts and cost centers, as well as controlling petty cash spending.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant degree
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
  • Advance MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
  • Knowledgeable in accounting software such as Xero and MYOB
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • With strong oral and written communication skills
  • Can work office-based
